Physics Society at York University is a ratified student association at York U whose main purpose is to create a social and inclusive space for any York faculty or student to openly discuss, explore, and experience the wonderful world of Physics. PSYU hosts a variety of events, including guest speaker lectures, workshops, trips, and social events. All events serve as a medium through which the members may epistemologically engage with Physics, meet like-minded individuals, further connect with the Physics and Astronomy department and its faculty, network, and learn the current social issues that surround studying and working in the field of Physics. 

The PSYU is run by an executive board that is dedicated to creating an exhilarating, enriching, social, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all members. Membership is free to all students and faculty. All on-campus events are free of charge to the members, and much of the off-campus event costs are covered as well.
