SOLTA is an extracurricular research project at York University in Toronto, Ontario. The team currently consists of 20 undergraduate students working together to determine the source of the high-energy radiation is coming from outside the solar system. Determining the source is essential key in the refinement the current theory.

 

This project has allowed students in physics or astronomy to gain research experience, connect to the community through science, and ultimately establish an ongoing, inclusive, and self-sustainable research project on cosmic rays.
