The Physics Society invites you to join us for the last event of the Winter 2014 term! On Monday, March 24th, PSYU is holding elections and another exciting game night. As always, food and drinks will be provided! How it will work: 4.30PM: Elections Elections are a crucial event for any club. In order for the club to continue hosting amazing events (such as guest speaker talks, game nights, trips, and workshops), a new executive council must be voted in. PSYU is calling for all members to come out to cast your vote and/or run for a position. It is absolutely crucial to the longevity and success of the Physics Society for as many members to be present as possible, so please do take the time to make your voice count. 5:30PM: Game Night Last Game Night held by PSYU was a great success. Again, members can duke it out against each other with Cranium, Star Fluxx, and many other awesome games. This is another social event, perfect as a de-stressor right before exams, and this time we have no time limit, so you can fight to the actual death! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Logistics of the Elections If you are interested in running for an executive position with Physics Society at York University, please come out to the elections! During the elections, a President and a Vice President will be voted in. Only current senior executive members are eligible to run for these two positions. Other positions will require to be filled as well. In order to acquire the position, a current active member must announce at the elections their intent to run. At least one other person must support their candidacy. Available positions: President and Vice President (available to current Senior Executive Members) Senior Executive: Treasurer and Secretary (available to current Executives only) General Executive: Executive of Events, Executive at Large (2 potential spots), and Executive of Media and IT (available to any current member) Please see the constitution for the PSYU (posted under 'files' section of the group), especially the article on elections. If you would like to know more about any position, logistics of the events, or anything else, please do email or Facebook us! We hope to see as many of you as possible during the elections and the final event of the year!
