McMaster University is full of Physics and Astronomy wonders, some of which we have a chance to observe on October 29th through a PSYU fieldtrip. Although the order of events is not finalized yet, we have some tours lined up already. The first part of the trip is a private tour of the WJ McCallion Planetarium by Dr Robert Cockcroft. Later in the day, we have a private tour of the McMaster Nuclear Reactor. We will all also have a chance to meet McMaster's newly formed Astronomy Club. The day at McMaster will be topped off with a visit to the Phoenix Bar&Grill (see links below). PSYU is able to cover some of the costs, with your only expense being your own meal at the Phoenix (see link below to check out the menu). There are a limited amount of spaces available, so MEMBERS MUST RSVP BY EMAIL to (yorkuphysics@gmail.com) with "McMaster RSVP" in the subject line. Please include full name and phone number in the email. This event will take up majority of the day. We will meet in the Center for Film and Theater (one of the buildings next to the GO buses, the one with the Starbucks) at 9.30AM. We will be done at McMaster roughly at 6PM, being back on campus roughly at 7.30PM. http://www.physics.mcmaster.ca/planetarium/ http://mnr.mcmaster.ca/ http://www.phoenixmcmaster.ca/
